In 2025, the Mexico factory was completed. With an investment of nearly 100 million yuan and covering an area of 10,000 square meters, the facility produces products including pet snacks. As the first Chinese pet food company to establish operations in Mexico, this marks a pioneering achievement for Zhongchong Co., Ltd. It also represents another major strategic expansion of the group's global supply chain, following the establishment of plants in the United States, Canada, Cambodia, and New Zealand.
In 2019, the Cambodia factory was built with total area of 20,000㎡ and annual production capacity of 6000 tons, which is the largest pet treats factory in Cambodia. The factory has been put into operation in March of 2020. In 2025, the second Cambodia factory is underway.
In December 2021,Yantai China Pet Foods Group invested 230 million RMB to build the high-end pet wet food factory in New Zealand.
In January 2021, Yantai China Pet Foods Group invested RMB 154.5 million to acquire 70% of the equity of PetfoodNZ International Limited, which is the largest wet pet food factory in New Zealand.
In November of 2018,Yantai China Pet Foods Group acquired 100% share of New Zealand factory - The Natural Pet Treat Company Limited which owns brand-Zeal, this made the company’s global roadmap and helped with their rapid development of global strategic layout.
The Canada factory was built in the May of 2018, it is the largest pet treats factory in Canada. The factory has “Great Jack’s ”,“Buddy Jack’s”, etc. The factory owns 3 production lines of organic meat treats, natural dried treats, high-end soft treats, which covers the main varieties in the market with its own brands.
In 2015, the USA factory was built ($28mil USD investment) and put into production in LA, which is the first Chinese pet company to set up factory in developed country. It is the largest pet treats factory in USA, which made a huge step in the company internationalization process. In 2022, the larger second American factory is underway.
In 2022, preparations for the construction of a larger second US factory have begun.
In April 2026, Toptrees, a subsidiary of China Pet Foods Co., Ltd., completed the construction and commenced operations at its state-of-the-art pet food baking plant.
In October 2024, construction officially commenced on the Phase III project of the China Pet Foods Co., Ltd. Industrial Park: a state-of-the-art smart factory for premium wet pet food.
Yantai China Pet Foods Group established irradiation sterilization center, with a designed annual sterilization capacity of 50,000 tons, which has been put into use in April 2023.
